The double shaft paddle mixer is also called the non-gravity mixer. The box body is U-shaped. There are two main shafts in the middle of the box body. Several supporting shafts are welded on the main shafts, and a blade is welded at the end of each supporting shaft. When the double shaft paddle mixer is working, the two main shafts are rotating to drive the blades to rotate in the box body. The blades pick up the materials and then drop them, and the dry powder materials are mixed under the stirring paddle(The process that materials are picked up and dropped in air is equivalent to the loss of gravity, so the double shaft paddle mixer is also called the non-gravity mixer). The double shaft paddle mixer is mainly used in the work place where the specific gravity of materials is relatively large, such as the dry mixed mortar industry. Due to the horizontal box body of the double shaft paddle mixer, there will be a little residue in the process of discharging, but thanks to cleaning holes in the box body of the double shaft paddle mixer, it is convenient for cleaning and maintenance.
The body of the ploughshare mixer is cylindrical. In the middle of the box body is a main shaft, on which there are several supporting shafts welded. At the end of the supporting shafts is installed a ploughshare. At work, the plowshares will break the lumped materials, and meanwhile the supporting shafts and the plowshares will stir up the materials. The ploughshare mixer is mainly used in the workplace where dry powder materials and a small amount of liquid are mixed. Because a small amount of liquid and dry powder are mixed together, dry powder will be clumping, then the ploughshare mixer should be equipped with a flying knife device. The so-called flying knife is a host of blades in cross which are rotating in a high speed driven by a single motor. When lumped materials come into contact with the flying knife, they will be broken apart, helping to improve the mixing precision of materials.
The mixing precision of materials depends on whether the mixer is suitable for the chosen materials or not. The materials' specific gravity, property, corrosivity, mixing precision and other requirements should be taken into account so as to customize the appropriate mixer. If the mixing precision of the materials is required to be particularly high, the mixing time of the materials in the dry powder mixer can be appropriately extended, which is helpful to improve the mixing precision of the dry powder materials.
